Frequently Asked Questions
What is therapy and how does it work?
Therapy is a collaborative process that provides a confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and experiences. Through regular sessions, we look at patterns in your life, the impact of your past, and the challenges you face in the present. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a safe container for reflection and growth.
What can I expect in a session?
Sessions last 50 minutes and typically occur weekly at the same time. You are invited to bring whatever feels present or pressing. Over time, we explore both conscious concerns and deeper, often unconscious patterns that shape your inner and outer worlds. Walking and group therapy sessions may be structured slightly differently and will be discussed in advance.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you're experiencing emotional distress, relationship difficulties, or simply want to understand yourself better, therapy may be helpful. You don’t need to have a specific diagnosis or crisis — many people come to therapy to deepen their self-awareness and live more fully.
What kinds of therapy do you offer?
I offer individual therapy (in person and online), walking therapy in natural settings, and group therapy for those interested in exploring alongside others. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic principles, with integration of somatic and creative modalities where helpful.
What is walking therapy?
Walking therapy takes place outdoors, combining movement and conversation in natural environments. Many people find that walking side-by-side reduces anxiety and supports more spontaneous reflection. It’s also a way to connect mind and body in a grounding, embodied way.
What is group therapy like?
Group therapy offers a space for shared exploration and reflection in the presence of others. It can bring to light relational patterns, foster empathy, and support emotional development through group dynamics. Groups run in 10-week blocks and are held weekly for 1.5 hours.

Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of ethical therapy. Everything you share is treated with the utmost respect and discretion. There are rare legal exceptions to confidentiality, such as if there is serious risk of harm to yourself or others, which we will discuss at the outset of our work.
In group settings, confidentiality is a shared responsibility. Group members are asked to commit to not sharing anything discussed outside the group.
